[Press Release] Collaboration with 7 domestic companies to strengthen supply chain security

In preparation for complying with the SCS evaluation system, we have formed strategic partnerships with seven of Japan's leading companies.

PIPELINE Corporation has entered into strategic partnerships with seven organizations—Weverton Co., Ltd., CEC Co., Ltd., CSE Co., Ltd., SecureNavi Inc., TOYO Corporation, Nippon Registry Authentication Inc., and Relief Sign Co., Ltd.—to strengthen supply chain cybersecurity and help organizations address evolving cyber risks.

This initiative is not simply a sales partnership.

With a view to responding to the "Security Measures Evaluation System for Strengthening Supply Chains (SCS Evaluation System)" promoted by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, the aim is to create a system that supports Japanese companies from visualizing the cyber risks they face to implementing countermeasures and continuous improvement.

Adapting to the SCS evaluation system is a new challenge for companies.

In recent years, cyberattacks have increasingly targeted not just individual companies, but the entire supply chain, including business partners and subcontractors.

In response to this situation, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry is working to develop an SCS (Supply Chain System) evaluation system, and many companies are preparing to obtain a ★3 or ★4 rating. Compliance with the system is considered to be an important factor in future inter-company transactions, and companies are urgently working to comply.

On the other hand, obtaining an evaluation requires specialized responses such as understanding the current situation, risk management, and third-party evaluation, and in many cases it is difficult to complete this process entirely within the company.

We support everything from visualization to improvement, centered around RiskSensor.

This partnership will center around RiskSensor, a cyber risk intelligence platform developed in Japan and provided by PIPELINE.

RiskSensor is a service that continuously monitors risks across the entire supply chain, including not only your own company but also affiliates, contractors, and business partners, and visualizes risks based on externally visible facts. It supports risk reduction across the entire organization through monitoring of public assets and supply chain risk management.

Furthermore, each partner company will leverage its expertise in its respective field to provide improvement and operational support for any issues that are identified.

This allows companies not only to understand risks in their supply chain, but also to assess the impact those risks have on their business, prioritize them, and implement improvements. Furthermore, a system is in place to continue monitoring and providing operational support even after the implementation of countermeasures, enabling them to work towards reducing cyber risks.

What we aim to achieve through this partnership

Responding to the SCS evaluation system is not simply about obtaining certification.

The key is to raise security levels across the entire supply chain and create an environment where businesses can continue operating while maintaining trust between companies.

Through this partnership, PIPELINE will support the strengthening of security for supply chain companies across Japan, contributing to the improvement of Japanese companies' competitiveness and sustainable growth.

Message from Representative Director Alan Watanabe

I believe that strengthening cybersecurity is a critical national issue in order to pass on Japan's technological capabilities and industrial competitiveness to the next generation. Amidst the expansion of cyberattacks and supply chain risks, Japan needs to work together, both public and private sectors, to maintain its strengths.

This partnership represents a significant step forward in our efforts to reduce cyber risks for Japanese companies and improve the security of their entire supply chains, together with those who share our vision. Moving forward, we will continue to work together with our partners to support Japanese companies and society, striving to create a safe and resilient digital society.
