Pipeline Inc.'s cyber risk visualization platform "RiskSensor" won the Excellence Award in the Security Operations Support category at the 2025 Japan Security Awards .
Why RiskSensor was evaluated
This award recognizes RiskSensor's greatest strengths, **External Attack Surface Management (EASM) specialized for Japanese companies**, and its AI-based threat intelligence .
Judge Michio Sonoda (Director of the NICT National Cyber Training Center) gave the following comments:
"The system excels in integrating professional security knowledge into AI to visualize risks scattered outside a company with high accuracy. In particular, we have high expectations for its vision of building a national-level infrastructure that will accumulate and analyze data on external attacks on a nationwide scale, including supply chains, and assess cyber risks across Japan."
Mr. Sonoda is one of Japan's top experts, having played a central role in Japan's cyber human resource development efforts, including the IPA Security Camp, SECCON, and the Shirahama Symposium. This recognition from such a leading expert means that RiskSensor has been recognized as a "foundation that contributes to Japan's security."

Tackling the "blind spots unique to Japan" that cannot be captured by overseas tools
RiskSensor is the only platform that shares EASM and risk scoring technology with global companies such as Censys, Bitsight, and SecurityScorecard, but is optimized for the Japanese market .
It is particularly differentiated by:
1. Deep analysis of Japanese-speaking threat data and domain structure
Covers Japan-specific subdomain operations, DNS structure, regional ISP characteristics, and cloud usage.
2. Optimized for the supply chain situation of domestic companies
A data model that takes into account the complex consignment structures of manufacturing, finance, local government, and critical infrastructure.
3. Management reports in Japanese are included as standard
Our strength lies in the ease of readability and judgment from the management side, which is often overlooked in overseas products.
These elements were highly praised for their ability to uncover "vulnerabilities unique to Japan" and "blind spots that are difficult to detect overseas."

Centralized visualization of risks across the entire supply chain
Currently, the problem facing Japan as a whole is the structural risk that even if large companies take measures, their supply chains will be attacked .
RiskSensor is
Business Partners
Outsourced company
subsidiary
Integrates wide-area external attack surface data, including overseas bases .
Furthermore, in line with the IPA/METI guidelines and the philosophy of NIS2, we are building a system that continuously scans "invisible attack surfaces" and evaluates risks as a whole rather than as individual points .
CEO Comment
Allan Watanabe, CEO of Pipeline, said:
"This award is proof that RiskSensor is not just a vulnerability scanner, but is evolving into an external risk intelligence platform that is essential for Japanese companies' management decisions. We will continue to accelerate our domestic-specific data collection and AI analysis to contribute to strengthening Japan's supply chain and security."
RiskSensor will continue to leverage its strengths of "Japan-specific data x AI x attacker's perspective" to become an information infrastructure that supports the safety of Japanese companies and the entire supply chain.
With this award as a springboard, we will continue to support Japanese companies in visualizing their cyber risks.
